Chapter 4 I woke up just after sunrise, expecting to find Elian still sleeping peacefully. When I looked out into the clearing I saw him doing a strange exercise in the middle, sitting by a smoldering fire. He spoke without looking at me. “Good, you’re awake. Chapter 3 I woke up early the next morning and saw the dragon standing on the windowsill watching the sun rise. I realized that I hadn’t examined it very closely last night and decided to do so now. Chapter 1 I walked stealthily through the trees, trying to see where my brother Taranis was going. Taranis had been sneaking off into the woods daily for the past week and I wanted to know where he was going. Taranis came to a clearing and whistled loudly. Prologue The lone warrior stared out over the battlefield where the bodies of all who had fought the recent war and died now lay decomposing in the harsh, unforgiving sunlight.
